Mom's Special Girls | Reece's Rainbow Waiting Children

Do you ever look through the faces at Reece's Rainbow?

There are so many children there...

It's hard to see them all...

But some of them stand out to you...

Those special kids that grab your heart!

Today I want to share with you some very special kids...

That have grabbed my Mom's heart.

It isn't the darling babies...

Or the cute little toddlers...

That have especially grabbed her heart...

She has a special heart for the big kids...

The ones who are running out of time...

Mom doesn't have a blog to shout from...

She has no Facebook account to share them on...

But she has a very important way to help them...

She prays for them DAILY...

And prayer is powerful!

God can see each child where they are...

He knows what heartaches they have seen...

And knows who their families are...

Even if those families don't know it yet!

God can work out circumstances to help those families find their kids...

And give them courage to step out and get them before it is too late...

He's already provided a family for Emmitt and two other children Mom loved...

Emmitt 2013 (2)

Mom still prays for Emmitt and his family every day!

But four of Mom's special kids still wait...

All four are sweet girls!

Karen...

And her little sister Chrystyna...

Need a family soon!

Karen is already 17 and would normally not be available for adoption after age 16...

But because she has a younger sister...

She can still be adopted before she turns 18 in January...

IF her sister is adopted with her!

Might you have room for two more sweet daughters?

Please hurry!

Karen's time runs out in LESS than one year!

*****

Then there is Julie...

She's almost 15...

That means she has one year left...

One year to be chosen...

One year to find a family...

Oh who will say yes to her?

*****

And last (but not least!) is sweet Kristie...

She's about 12 years old...

Her story is sad...

Because her big sister was adopted without her :(

I wonder if she fears she will never be wanted?

Kristie has normal intelligence...

And her physical needs are relatively minor and do not prevent from taking care of herself!

Please consider Kristie!

*****

Would you like to help answer my Mama's prayers?

Can you spread the word about these special girls?

You never know...

One of your friends or acquaintances might the family they need!

And if there's a chance...

Even a tiny chance...

That one of these girls could be yours...

Please pray and consider them carefully!

If you hear God calling you to one of these girls...

Please say yes!

You can read more about these girls by clicking on their names in this post!

You can learn more about adoption HERE.

Thank you for caring and helping to answer my Mom's prayers for "her" girls!

Three Strikes does NOT mean he's out!!! | Reece's Rainbow Waiting Child

Three strikes...

In baseball that means your out...

But how could you possibly tell this sweet boy he's OUT?

How could you tell him...

That with all the strikes against him...

He can't have a family?

Look at those pleading eyes...

PLEASE...

Despite the strikes against me...

Don't give up on me yet!

What are the strikes, you ask?

First...

 I'm an older boy...

I'm already 13...

Some might count that against me...

But 13 year-old's still need Mom's and Dad's!

Second...

 I have cerebral palsy...

And some would say that sounds kind of scary...

I might need extra help...

But then - isn't that even more reason I need a family?

Third...

I have Down Syndrome...

But - is that really a strike?

They say kids with Down Syndrome are some of the sweetest, most loving people you'll ever meet!

Don't you have room for some extra love in your family?

Fourth...

(Yes, I'm past three strikes, but please don't give up on me - I NEED you!)

I live in a mental institute...

Now that might sound super scary for a potential family to consider...

But wait...

Before you say you could never handle a child from a mental institution...

Consider that though you have the choice to pass me by...

The choice to avoid the challenges of adopting a child who may have "institutional behaviors"...

I must live here every day...

I have no way to improve my life without help...

But if you give me a chance...

It WILL make a difference...

You will change my life for good!

The transformation will be amazing...

And you can make it possible!

*****

What is my personality like you ask?

A kind lady who visited my institution...

Said I was very GENTLE...

While I was enjoying her loving attention...

Other kids hit me because they were desperate to get some love too...

And I was in their way...

But despite the discomfort I didn't fight back...

I backed away meekly and waited for the other kids to get out of the way...

So I could come back for more love!

Gentle, gentle, gentle...

But how I long for love!

Three strikes and more against me...

But I haven't given up yet...

I still hope for love!

Please choose me...

And love me...

And make me your son!

I'm still waiting and hoping for you...

Please don't give up on me!

Your waiting son...

Emil

Oh...

And if you can't adopt me yourself...

(I know not everyone can!)

Please share my need with others!

Beautiful Brandi | Reece's Rainbow Waiting Child

Beautiful Brandi just bubbles with joy!

Well, actually I've never met her....

So I can't say for sure...

But if you look at this picture...

She looks full of joy!

Sweet little Brandi has cerebral palsy and a hearing problem...

But she doesn't let her challenges kill her joy!

She probably has a caregiver that loves her...

Who fixed her hair and dressed her up pretty for her picture!

But she likely won't be able to stay with her long...

She's already 5 1/2 years old...

Which means her time in the baby orphanage is running out!

Each day brings her closer to a terrible fate...

A move to a mental institution...

That's right...

In her country most children with physical or mental disabilities are transferred to mental institutions at the young age of 4-6 years old...

Yikes...

Can you imagine this beautiful, sweet child there?

The terrible conditions in these institutions could very well lead her to depression and despair...

Her smile could disappear (wouldn't yours?)...

With nothing but moans and groans to listen to...

Nothing to do but rock, wave your hands, or bang your head...

It could drive the bravest to despair!

I hope sweet Brandi can stay in the baby house till a family can come for her...

Or that she will be transferred to a facility for high functioning children and receive some education...

But it may not be possible!

She needs a Mom and Dad ASAP...

To save her from her terrible fate...

To make sure she keeps that beautiful smile...

Imagine this beautiful sunshine sitting at your family table!

Could you be her Mama?

Or maybe help her find one by sharing her story with others?

Your Faces WILL be seen! | Reece's Rainbow Waiting Children

My dear forgotten boys...

Colin and Leo...

Preview

It's YOUR TURN now!

You've waited for years...

Your faces often overlooked...

In the sea of many faces...

That fill the pages of waiting kids on Reece's Rainbow!

But NOW...

It is YOUR TURN to be seen!

(At least right here on my little blog!)

Oh sweet boys...

I hope that somehow...

Some way...

Whether on this blog or not...

Your family will see your sweet faces...

Preview

And know that you are theirs!

I pray that soon you will not only be seen...

But chosen!

Chosen to belong to a family of your very own!
