Finals for Casey | Reece's Rainbow Waiting Child

What do Casey and I have in common?

We're both in the midst of finals...

But our finals are not the same!

Mine, though sometimes causing stress...

Will bring good opportunities my way!

Casey's will bring him a dismal future...

With no opportunities at all...

If he doesn't get some help!

*****

I'm in the midst final tests...

Marking classes off the list...

One by one!

By the end of the week this semester will be over...

But that won't be the end for me...

And that's a good thing!

I have more classes to take...

Big tests and small tests...

Including comprehensive exams...

Clinical education to participate in...

And finally graduation...

Next year in August!

But that won't be the end either...

There'll be board tests to take...

And a job to find...

I'll have so many opportunities in life!

But Casey...

Oh sweet Casey...

He's not in the midst of final tests...

He's in his final DAYS...

His final days as a 15 year old...

His final days to find a family...

If he doesn't find one by his birthday in June...

He'll be out of luck...

He'll have no future to look forward to...

No chance for an education...

No chance to get a job...

No chance to be part of a loving family...

No hope for something better than dreary days in a dreary place...

He'll be stuck in an institution...

For the REST OF HIS LIFE!

His final days of hope...

Are quickly running out...

And that's NOT a good thing...

We must spread his story...

And give him a voice...

We must give the last call for him!

Oh please if you are Casey's Mama...

Please hear his desperate call!

Oh Mama...

I've waited so very, VERY long for you...

To see my smiling face...

To see the hope I have that you won't leave me here!

Please don't delay any longer...

I don't have time to wait...

You see my FINAL days of hope are running out SO very, VERY soon...

Please quickly, quickly choose me now...

Before it is to late!

You can read Casey's profile on Reece's Rainbow HERE.

There is also more information (from someone who MET Casey) and more pictures of him HERE...

You can see EVEN MORE pictures of him HERE...

Below is a video someone put together for Casey...

With LOTS of pictures!

You can learn more about the adoption process HERE.

*****

Casey has a MATCHING grant offer of $250

Right now he has an adoption grant of $3,597...

When his grant fund reaches $3,838...

A generous donor will give him $250 more!

This match must be met by this coming Thursday, May 2, at 7 PM eastern time in order for him to get the matching money!

If you feel so led, you can help Casey get his matching grant by your tax-deductible (in the USA) donation to his grant fund HERE.

Even if you can't donate or adopt, you can share!

Please spread Casey's story far and wide...

You never know...

Someone you know might be his family!

Let's not let Casey "flunk" his finals...

There's far too much at stake!

His FUTURE hangs in the balance.

He just needs ONE family to say yes...

ONE family to set him free...

One family to make these final days into a new beginning...

The beginning of hope for many better days ahead...

Days of love and opportunity...

Happy, HAPPY days at last...

With a family of his own!

*****

If you might be Casey's family...

Please read THIS PAGE about the adoption process then contact Debbie at Reece's Rainbow (debbie@reecesrainbow.org)  right away!

Certain paperwork must be filed with immigration before his birthday.  If this is done, the adoption itself could be completed after his birthday.

Good news and bad... | Reece's Rainbow Children

Quick Update!!!

Good news for Sebastian!

Sebastian (1)

Sebastian has a family!

Just in the nick of time!

He's now 16...

But his family filed the immigration paperwork before his birthday...

So glad they found him in time!

*****

The bad news...

Please continue to pray for Joseph...

30226121603 Joseph

He has now turned 16...

He did not get a family in time :(

Pray that God will keep him safe!

He does have one chance...

If there is a family who has approval with US immigration to adopt a child through age 17...

And got this approval before April 25...

They could add him to their adoption!

*****

More good news...

For my sweet buddy Jordan!

He was recently moved to the Moving Mountains Page...

(A page for children with large adoption grants!)

He now has $5,670 in his grant fund!

Sweet little man...

I hope this helps your family have courage to step out and claim you as their own...

I'm waiting Mama!

Have you seen me yet?

*****

No post is complete without Colin and Leo!

Are they your sons?

Emergency - Pray for a Miracle! | Reece's Rainbow Waiting Children

30226121603 JosephSebastian (1)

These two young men are in URGENT need!

They both WANT to be adopted...

To have a family of their own...

But have almost NO time left...

In less than 3 weeks they will turn 16 and then it will be too late!

Imagine telling these young men that it is too late for them...

That they'll just have to make it on their own....

With no family to encourage, support, and guide them in the big job of becoming adults...

In order to make their adoption possible in the US...

A family MUST file paperwork with US immigration for them...

BEFORE their birthday...

The families would then have additional time to complete the adoption...

It will take a MIRACLE to find a family and get the paperwork filed in time...

But it is possible!

PLEASE pray and share!!!

This is their LAST chance for a family!

Before I go I want to give a shout for another sweet young man who has only about 2 months to find a family...

Can you believe he's almost 16?

He must find a family before his birthday in June or he will be institutionalized FOR LIFE...

You read about him from someone who met him and see more pictures of Casey HERE...

You can see even more pictures of him HERE...

Please note that when the above posts were written Casey had 6 months to find a family...

Now he has about TWO months left...

Paperwork must be filed with immigration for him before his birthday in JUNE 2013.

This video has LOTS of pictures of Casey!!!

Justice for Justine! | Reece's Rainbow Waiting Child

Beautiful Justine!

Other than the fact that you are beautiful, mobile, and active...

We know so little about you...

We don't know your favorite color...

We don't know whether you are an early bird or a sleepy head...

We don't know what your favorite school subject would be if you had a chance to go to school...

Most of what we do know sounds a little scary...

Microcephaly...

Autism...

Possible fetal alcohol syndrome...

And then the scary words that your abilities have probably regressed because you were so unfortunate to be placed in a facility that that was unable to give you adequate nutrition, medical care, and loving attention...

I understand you've been moved to a somewhat better facility recently...

But nowhere near as good as a family could be!

Oh what a sad life you have had!

You haven't had a chance to show the world who you are and what you can accomplish...

YET...

But Justine...

It's time for you to receive justice (like your name!)...

You deserve more...

Much, MUCH more!

God made you special...

He loves you very much...

And has so much more planned for you!

You've waited so, SO long to live the life he made you for...

But now it's time for that to change!

It's time for us to spread the word that you are waiting still...

It's time to find a special family who will look past the scary words that you've been labeled with...

And see the beautiful child God made...

A family who will see your great value...

And bring you home where you belong!

Home to love and family...

Home to opportunity and education...

Home to nutrition and medical care...

Home where you will be safe and cherished forever!

Even though we don't know who that wonderful family is yet...

God does!

I pray He helps them find you soon...

And tells their hearts that you're the one!

The daughter they never knew was theirs...

But who will be in their hearts forever once the find her!

The Ultimate Party... And the Kids Who Miss Out | Reece's Rainbow Waiting Children

It is the Ultimate Blog Party week...

Or so I've just learned...

It's a time to share your blog with others...

A time to celebrate what interests you and what is on your heart...

My party is for special needs children!

A party can be so much fun for kids...

Kathleen3

Balloons and cake...

Presents...

Games with friends...

Smiles and laughter...

It can be SO very MUCH fun!

But parties should be for everyone...

None should be left out!

But there are some kids far away who seldom get to party or play...

Some kids who have not much to do but sit and wait from day to day...

Some sit in bed...

Jackson 2007

Some sit in chairs...

Navid 1

Some manage hopeful smiles...

30125123123

While others seem to have nearly given up hope...

Who are these kids you say?

They children who've been put away...

In orphanages and institutions...

Why? You ask?

Because they have special needs...

In eastern Europe and some other parts of the world, parents are often strongly encouraged to put their special needs children in orphanages...

They are told they will never amount to anything...

Isolde2

Or that the state can take better care of them...

Or that the parent's life will be ruined if they keep them.

20617213503 Vytas (4)

There are few resources for those who choose to keep their kids...

Medical care and therapy for their special needs are less available...

So many, with grieving hearts accept the advice and send their kids away...

Some will stay in institutions until they die...

Unless someone saves them in time!

Others will get out one day and try to make it on their own with no Mom or Dad to help them find their way in life...

A few, a few will be super blessed...

Blessed to be chosen for adoption...

And oh what transformation that can bring!

Hope and love can change their life...

Will you be a part?

Of changing one child's life?

You can help by sharing their plight with others to help them find a family...

Or by donations large or small to their adoption grant funds...

Donations are tax deductible through the charity Reece's Rainbow!

Or maybe, maybe, one of them could be your very own sweet child...

You can learn more about how to adopt HERE!

You can view more waiting children at Reece's Rainbow HERE.

These kids seldom get to party or have fun...

Let's change that!!!!

Choose a child to help today!

You can read more about any of these waiting children by clicking on their names in this post!
