Left to ROT!!!

Ugh!

What a terrible title for a blog post!

How can a post with such a terrible name possibly have anything to do with children?

Unfortunately it is all too true...

It relates to some of Emmitt's party guests :(

And even Emmitt himself :(

It is there FUTURE if they are not adopted...

A dismal, boring, desperately lonely, and loveless future...

That NO child should ever face...

But it is theirs...

If they are not chosen by loving parents!

They are precious children...

Children who've been ignored, neglected, and forgotten...

Children confined to bed not merely at night and at nap time...

But ALL DAY LONG too :(

*****

This frightful blog title relates to Daniel...

One of Emmitt's first party guests...

He looks ill and malnourished...

But is left in his bed to rot and die...

This sweetie sure needs some love!

How much longer can he live like that?

I fear his days are numbered...

His life will be very short if he is not chosen soon!

*****

It applies to Janna...

(A new party guest I'll write more about in another post)...

She's been placed in a lying down room...

Where she passes the time in her bed day after day after day :(

You can see more pictures of Janna and her roommates in the lying down room HERE...

They are left soaking wet in their beds to cope as best they can...

They desperately need out!

*****

Then there is sweet is Raymond...

One of Emmitt's new party guests...

Raymond has trouble with his eyes and arthrogryposis - which basically means he has some stiff joints...

(From looking at this picture it looks like his hands are functional though!)

Children with arthrogryposis often benefit from medical treatments such as casting or surgery...

But Raymond will not have opportunity to receive all the treatment he needs where he is now...

He will be left in bed to stare at the ceiling...

With nothing to listen to but moans and groans of other suffering lonely children...

He will be left in bed to rot away...

Until his little body gives up...

Until his poor little mind can stand it no longer...

Until he finds relief from his misery in death...

BUT - This horrible ending to his sad little life...

Has one chance to be averted!

One chance to be changed to happiness and joy...

One chance!

What is that chance you say?

Raymond must be seen and chosen by one special family!

He needs a family to say yes to him...

YES - your life matters!

YES - you are worth loving!

YES - you deserve medical care and therapy!

YES - We will choose you!

YES - we will make you our son!

YES - We will give you a chance to learn and to grow!

YES - we will love you no matter what happens!

And...

NO - we will NOT leave you to rot in your bed...

Your life is MUCH too precious for that!

Son, we are coming as soon as we can!

Please don't give up yet!

This is Raymond's chance!

He just needs ONE family!

Is that family you?

You can learn more about the adoption process HERE!

If not...

Please share his story and help his family find him!

Another recent guest is Elizaveta...

She also has arthrogryposis.

Gratefully she has NOT been left to rot in bed!

She even gets to go to school...

Her profile says she is happy and social...

Tries to be independent...

Gets along well with others...

And listens to adults...

She sounds like a wonderful daughter!

But she lives in an orphanage...

Despite the lovely profile description...

Her pictures are so sad :(

Look at her eyes...

They look so sad and forsaken...

Like she knows she has no family...

Like she thinks no one will want her...

Like her heart is hurting :(

Where is a Mama to give her a hug...

To tell her she's so very special?

Where is a Dad to put his hand on her shoulder and tell her he's so SO proud of her!

While her current situation is better than Raymond's and the other kids stuck in their beds...

Her future is still not very bright :(

If she is not adopted she will either be sent to a mental institution simply because she has a PHYSICAL disability...

Where she will endure the rest of her days...

Or she will be turned out on the street (if she's considered able bodied enough) to fend for herself...

To hunt through the garbage to find some food...

Or be  forced into prostitution to survive...

This MUST NOT be her fate!

Elizaveta has SO much potential!

She just needs a family to give her hope...

To give her love and guidance...

To giver her medical care and therapy...

To give her a FUTURE filled with hope!

Could you or someone you know be her family?

She so needs love to heal her hurts...

And put hope in those sad little eyes!

Please share her with others!

Today's post is especially in honor of Raymond and Elizaveta!

They were invited to Emmitt's party just yesterday by Gillian!

I'm so glad to have them on my wall!

Let's welcome them and help them find a family!

****

I added two of Emmit's other party guests as well...

Sweet Daniel and Janna...

'Cause there current life sadly fits the title of this post...

And they desperately need some hope!

*****
Sadly Emmitt too, our Birthday boy...

In whose honor the party's been called...

Leads a dull and boring life in bed...

He'll be left to rot, oh the horrible thought...

If he's not rescued soon!

Please consider bringing some guests to his party!

For each $5 donation to Emmitt's fund a child of your choice will have a place on my wall till at least Emmitt's Birthday, January 26- maybe longer!

I'll include your child(ren) in a blog post and will also include a link to your blog or fundraiser if you wish!

Every little bit we can raise will make it that much easier for a family to say yes to Emmitt...

It will ease the financial burden and help him come home!

And pray, Pray, PRAY he gets a family!!!!

Let me know you donated and who you are inviting to the party by commenting on this post...

Or by e-mailing Pam at savinghissparrows@gmail.com

I look forward to having more beautiful faces on my sidebar...

And hope it will help "your" kids find a family too!

NO child deserves to rot in bed for life...

Let's find families for as MANY as possible!

They are worth it...

They deserve LIFE!

Please Share!

  1. I love your blog. You do such a wonderful job reminding us all of the realities of those otherwise forgotten children...
Thanks for advocating for Emmitt. He is a boy that is God placed close to my heart...
I just have a question: it seems he as been listed for a very long wile at reece's rainbow. Do you know if anybody has been able to take a more up to date picture of him? I'm wondering how he is doing under those harsh conditions...
Thanks so much for all you do again.

    1. Hi Ma Rose,

Unfortunately I don't know of any updated pictures of Emmitt or how he is currently doing - I wish I did! Thanks so much for caring and praying for him!
