DUPED!

I think I was duped by the scary words...

I misjudged her when I read them...

The scary words...

Words of cognitive regression...

Because she has been neglected in a mental institute...

Difficult conditions...

Not a very promising case...

I wrote her off...

BUT...

She does have a big smile...

She is even waving...

And since I'm advocating for the children of orphanage one...

I thought I might include her in this post...

So I began reading her post a bit more closely...

Lauren is a super-sweet and active little girl.

She is very social and affectionate,

and will do well in a family setting.

Now those are nice words!

Sounds like wonderful daughter material...

Don't you think?

But surely she must have some difficult problem...

Or she wouldn't be in that awful place, right?

What is her diagnosis?

achondroplasia

What's that?

First what it is NOT...

Acondroplasia is NOT a mental condition...

It is a condition that will cause her to have short stature!

How would you like to be sentenced to a mental institution for life because you were short?

How would you like to be isolated from society...

Neglected...

Kept out of school...

Denied the opportunity to have a Mom and Dad...

Just because you would be shorter than most people?

Acondroplasia is not that scary...

It should NOT sentence a child to life in a mental institution!

There is hope for Lauren!

If someone will choose her...

Rescue her...

Make her their child...

And give her the love and opportunity she needs to grow and flourish!

Yes the institutional life has hindered her development...

But the power of love is amazing!

She is just waiting to blossom!

She's already smiling and waving!

Imagine the radiance when she receives the love of a family!

She'll be beaming!

Are you her hope?

Her hope for life and love outside the institution?

Hope for a Mom and Dad of her very own?

Is your home missing a little ray of sunshine?

Lauren's smile is waiting to brighten you life!

Please give her a chance!

To read more about Lauren or donate to her grant fund click here!

Even if you are not her Mama...

Please consider sharing her story with others...

Maybe there are other folk like me who saw the scary words and turned away without giving sweet Lauren a chance...

Maybe your words will make a difference!

Don't be duped by the scary words...

Lauren is a princess...

A precious child of God...

She needs a voice...

Can she have yours?
