The Ultimate Party... And the Kids Who Miss Out | Reece's Rainbow Waiting Children

It is the Ultimate Blog Party week...

Or so I've just learned...

It's a time to share your blog with others...

A time to celebrate what interests you and what is on your heart...

My party is for special needs children!

A party can be so much fun for kids...

Kathleen3

Balloons and cake...

Presents...

Games with friends...

Smiles and laughter...

It can be SO very MUCH fun!

But parties should be for everyone...

None should be left out!

But there are some kids far away who seldom get to party or play...

Some kids who have not much to do but sit and wait from day to day...

Some sit in bed...

Some sit in chairs...

Some manage hopeful smiles...

While others seem to have nearly given up hope...

Who are these kids you say?

They children who've been put away...

In orphanages and institutions...

Why? You ask?

Because they have special needs...

In eastern Europe and some other parts of the world, parents are often strongly encouraged to put their special needs children in orphanages...

They are told they will never amount to anything...

Or that the state can take better care of them...

Or that the parent's life will be ruined if they keep them.

There are few resources for those who choose to keep their kids...

Medical care and therapy for their special needs are less available...

So many, with grieving hearts accept the advice and send their kids away...

Some will stay in institutions until they die...

Unless someone saves them in time!

Others will get out one day and try to make it on their own with no Mom or Dad to help them find their way in life...

A few, a few will be super blessed...

Blessed to be chosen for adoption...

And oh what transformation that can bring!

Hope and love can change their life...

Will you be a part?

Of changing one child's life?

You can help by sharing their plight with others to help them find a family...

Or by donations large or small to their adoption grant funds...

Donations are tax deductible through the charity Reece's Rainbow!

Or maybe, maybe, one of them could be your very own sweet child...

You can learn more about how to adopt HERE!

You can view more waiting children at Reece's Rainbow HERE.

These kids seldom get to party or have fun...

Let's change that!!!!

  3. I have tears in my eyes looking at all those sweet faces. It saddens me that there are still places where parents are forced to give up there special needs kids. I am the foster parent of a child with autism and adhd. She should be with us until she is 18. I hope that each and every one of these children gets to party soon!!

  4. I'm so glad I came across your blog through UBP13! I'm a former foster parent (8 years) and an adoptive parent of two (4 total). We worked with kids that had physical, mental, and emotional disabilities. Your pictures speak to my soul! I put up some pics of my kiddos today to share. Check them out on my fb page www.facebook.com/wiselearners my blog and fb page are all about our crazy journey and learning to learn more despite obstacles. I think you'll love it. We definitely share similar inspiration. =) God bless you!
