Marty's Dream

Marty is a lovely 13 year-old boy...

He is loving, kind, and seldom gets angry...

He loves sports, is good at computers, knows many English words...

And...

MARTY has a dream

A big dream...

Something he has been longing for for a very long time...

Something very dear to his heart...

What would a 13 year-old boy long for and dream about?

A bicycle?

A new video game?

Getting his learners permit and drivers license in a few years?
These are common dreams for boys...

But they are not Marty's primary dream...

No, Marty has a dream that many boys wouldn't think of...

Not because it is odd...

But because it is so very basic...

Something that most young boys take for granted...

Something they have always had and have never been without!

What is Marty's dream?

Marty dreams of having his very own family!

A Mom and Dad who love him...

Treasure him...

Are proud of his accomplishments...

Tell him what a great kid he is and how much they love him!

I'm not certain what happened...

But Marty was found abandoned as a baby...

ABANDONED...

Likely because of his hydrocephalus (which has been treated and gives him no problems now!)

Family provides a sense of security...

Of permanence...

Of belonging...

It gives you your place in the world - especially in childhood...

But Marty is missing out on this basic, yet very important aspect of life...

But he hopes and dreams that this will change!

Marty has a Foster brother, Gary, that he loves dearly...

He hopes that they can both be adopted by the same family so they can be forever brothers!

When a staff interviewed him and Gary, Marty said...

"“This is the third time you have come here to meet with us… Why don’t we have a family yet?”

Marty DESPERATELY wants a family that will be his FOREVER!

Sweet Marty knows it might not happen, but instead of being bitter and angry he said to someone who interviewed him...

“but if you can’t find me a family it will be OK because in the future I will be able to help other children find forever homes.”

Sweet, sweet boy!

He's already thinking of how he can help other children have a better life than he has had!

But Marty's dream CAN become a reality...

If a family is found in time!

According to the rules of his country Marty must be adopted before he turns 14 in November 2015...

That means his family must be found quickly so they have time to complete adoption process before it is forever too late!

Do you know Marty's family?

It could be your friend or neighbor...

It could be someone at your church...

Or someone you meet at the grocery store...

Or one of your Facebook friends...

Can you share Marty's story?

Or maybe...

Is it possible...

That Marty could even be...

YOUR SON?

You can read Marty's Profile HERE...

You can read more about the adoption process HERE...

Please help Marty's dream come true in whatever way you can...

By praying...

Sharing...

Donating to his adoption fund (Tax Deductible - CLICK HERE to donate)...

Or adopting!

Marty was featured in this post because during my angel tree fundraiser for Peter...

He won a drawing for a $25 donation to his fund and a blog post all his own!

Congratulations Marty!

I hope and pray your family sees you...

And makes your dream come true!

Victory for Nikolajs

Nikolajs' name means...

Victory of the People...

But he needs an army to make the victory possible!

You see, Nikolajs

 lives in an orphanage...

And while orphanages are meant to care for children who's family cannot care for them due to death, illness, family circumstances or sadly, abandonment due to the child's special needs...

Orphanages can never fully give a child the degree of love and nurture that a family can...

It's just not the same...

Caregivers are spread thin between so many children...

They just can't give them the same one on one attention that families can.

Sweet Nikolajs looks like he needs a good dose of Mama-love to put a smile on his face...

But before that can happen...

His Mama has to FIND him!

And that's where the army comes in!

Sweet Nikolajs needs an army of people to share his need and his picture on Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, and by word of mouth...

You never know - one of your friends or acquaintances could be his Mom or Dad!

They may have an empty place in their family that only he can fill...

But they don't know it yet!

They may never have heard of Nikolajs and his need for love and a family...

They may not know what a blessing they are missing without him...

Sure there will be challenges...

Every warrior has them before the victory's won...

But that will make the victory that much sweeter!

One of those challenges will be finances for the adoption costs...

Thankfully Nikolajs is listed on Reece's Rainbow...

And has the privilege of being one of the children featured on their angel tree fundraiser this year...

During angel tree, warriors work hard to try raise $1,000 to add to adoption grants to help with the adoption expenses for the featured children...

So far Nikolajs has received $501.88 in angel tree donations...

So he has a ways to reach his goal...

ARMY...

Where are you?

It's time to rally for Nikolajs' Victory!

Victory #1 - Meet $1,000 Angel Tree goal
Victory #2 - Find Nikolajs' Family
Victory #3 - Get him HOME where he belongs!

Can you be part of Nikolajs' army and help him meet his victory goals?

You can help by sharing...
You can help by giving a tax-deductible donation to his adoption fund...
Donatill receive a special Christmas ornament with Nikolajs' picture on it!

But even $5 will help boost him towards his goal!

You can read more about Nikolajs' or donate to his grant fund by clicking on his name in this post or by clicking HERE!

Won't you join Nikolajs' Army today?

You will have the privilege of being part of his victory!

And while your at it...

Don't forget my little Peter...

He has $510.50 toward his  Angel Tree goal so far...

And still needs help to reach his $1,000!

He needs a family too...

Army...

Peter needs you too!

By the way...
Peter's Party is coming on Thursday!

And there is still room for more guests!

Peter's First Party Guests!

Peter's guests have begun to arrive!

So far we have EIGHT to introduce...

The first to arrive was dear little Boden...

What a cutie he is!

He loves to snuggle!

Sadly he was abandoned at 3 years old...

And is still waiting for a family to make him their forever son!
(He's 7 now - don't let him grow up without a family of his own!)

He also needs help meeting his $1,000 Angel Tree goal!
($63 has been raised so far!)
His advocate has a Facebook page for him called Pennies for Boden - check it out HERE!
She is selling Children's (and adult) books to raise money for him - maybe you can find a Christmas present for someone on your list and help Boden at the same time!

******
Next to arrive is sweet little Crystal...

Though her country does not allow her picture to be displayed publicly...

She is a REAL little girl...

With pretty dark brown hair and eyes...

Who needs a real Mom or Dad like you!

Crystal also needs help reaching her $1,000 Angel Tree goal!
($121.50 has been raised so far.)

*****

Lovely Laura was next to arrive...

She's said to be sweet, joyful, affectionate...

And she loves to laugh!

She is in a bilingual orphanage so she can understand some English!

What a lovely daughter she will be...

If she just gets the chance!

*****

Then there is Kambry...

She's gentle and shy...

Waiting for a family of her very own...

To tell her what a treasure she is!

*****

Adelaide, what a sweet little Miss!

She does well in her school work, and loves to help...

She'd make her Mom and Dad so proud...

But they haven't found her yet...

Is she yours?

****

Neal - what a darling...

Just listen to what he tells his caregivers every morning when he wakes up...

"I know my Mama is coming."

He's counting on you...

Won't you make his dream come true?

*****

Lovely Gertie is already 12...

But don't let that frighten you!

She likes to draw, memorize songs and poems...

And studies hard in school!

She needs a family to cheer her on...

And tell her how special she is!

After all big girls need Mom's too!

*****

Abigail is said to be a social butterfly...

Who is always smiling and joyful!

Oh just imagine what a treasure you'd have...

If you make this sweet girl your own!

*****

Thanks so much to those who donated to Peter to help him reach his angel tree goal...

And brought these lovely children to his party!

You can read more about these children by clicking on their names in this post!
