Good news and bad... | Reece's Rainbow Children

Quick Update!!!

Good news for Sebastian!

Sebastian (1)

Sebastian has a family!

Just in the nick of time!

He's now 16...

But his family filed the immigration paperwork before his birthday...

So glad they found him in time!

*****

The bad news...

Please continue to pray for Joseph...

30226121603 Joseph

He has now turned 16...

He did not get a family in time :(

Pray that God will keep him safe!

He does have one chance...

If there is a family who has approval with US immigration to adopt a child through age 17...

And got this approval before April 25...

They could add him to their adoption!

*****

More good news...

For my sweet buddy Jordan!

He was recently moved to the Moving Mountains Page...

(A page for children with large adoption grants!)

He now has $5,670 in his grant fund!

Sweet little man...

I hope this helps your family have courage to step out and claim you as their own...

I'm waiting Mama!

Have you seen me yet?

*****

No post is complete without Colin and Leo!

Are they your sons?

Last post before the party!

His special day is coming!

Emmitt's Birthday's almost here!

But before it comes there are a few more little party guests I'd like to introduce to you!

The first two I'll show you just arrived this week!

Thanks so much Monica for inviting Sean and Joanie!

*****

First little Sean!

Isn't he sweet?

How in the world can a sweet one like this...

Have no Mama to call his own?

No Papa to give him big bear hugs...

Or give him a ride on his shoulders!

I think the picture's a little bit old...

Cause he's now already 2 years old!

That's 2 years too long to be without...

The love only families bring!

Sweet little one...

I hope someday soon...

You will have a home of your own!

*****

Then there is Joanie...

Oh so cute!

With a BIG white bow in her hair!

They say where she lives that the bigger the bow...

The better the child is loved!

That means dear sweet Joanie must have a kind Nanny...

Who thinks she's extra special!

But sadly a Nanny's not the same as a Mom...

Because Nannies go home when their shift is done...

While the kids must remain at the orphan home and wait till they come again :(

What would it be like to have a Mom of her own...

A Mom who doesn't leave to go home at night...

And leave her behind each day?

To have a Mom that would take her home and tuck her in bed at night...

With a prayer and a kiss and goodnight hug...

And the words - Just call if you need me!

I'm just down the hall and I'll come right away...

Cause your my own special girl...

And I love you SOOOO much...

And I'll always be here for you!

*****

And now I'd like to show you a few more...

Some special ones to me :)

The first is Miss Carissa!

Oh this dear little girl...

Has had such a very sad life :(

She and her twin sister were sent to an orphanage to live when they were just little babies...

Then one day, oh joy, their auntie came and took them home with her!

What a wonderful thing...

But times must have been hard...

'Cause they didn't receive needed medical care and Carissa lost her sight :(

Then when the girls were 6 years old they had to go back to the orphanage again :(

And then oh how sad, she was separated from the one whom she'd had all her life...

Her own precious sister - her twin!

The sister could see but Carissa could not so they were sent to different orphanages...

And then  a family adopted the sister...

But Carissa was left behind :(

Poor Carissa was so ill with grief and fright at the changes in her life...

That she refused to eat :(

She nearly died of a broken heart...

She missed her sister so much!

Thankfully at the hospital she began to get better again...

But oh this sweet girl needs a home of her own...

A place to truly belong!

Please pray for her!

*****

And then there's "my" Janna...

With the sweet little smile...

Can you guess how this sweet girl lives?

Is she surrounded with laughter and love...

And a Mom and a Dad who adore her?

No, sadly, sadly this sweet child...

Spends her days LYING DOWN in bed :(

In a room where the days pass wearily by...

In monotonous repetition...

With nothing much to do :(

And a life spent in bed will always the fate of this dear little girl...

Unless...

A family will come...

And make her there own sweet daughter!

*****

Oh my little Jordan...

Who will see your face?

Who will notice that cute little twinkle...

Of mischief in your eyes?

Who will see the dear little boy that is waiting to be loved?

Who will recognize your value and make you their sweet son?

I hope they take a moment to look into your eyes today...

And realize that their home is missing...

Someone extra super special!

And that that someone's you!

*****

ColinColinColin...

Such sad eyes you have!

Have you lost all hope for a loving family?

Do you fear that no one ever sees you...

That know one knows you're there?

Do you fear that if they see you...

They'll just look the other way?

O dear, dear little Colin...

I hope you are mistaken!

I hope that someday very soon...

Someone will see your face...

And see behind those sad, sad eyes a special little boy...

And choose to run like crazy...

To get the paperwork done...

And cross the big wide ocean to bring you home at last!

Home where you will be loved forever...

And have the opportunity to know...

Just how very, very special God made YOU to be!

*****

And last for today please meet Yasmine!

She must be a joyful girl...

For they call her a "walking sunshine"!

But she's headed for the dark :(

Because her legs don't work quite right...

She'll soon be sent away...

From the orphange for children...

To an INSTITUTION grim :(

Oh please do help sweet Yasmine...

To find a home at last!

Is your home missing a little sunshine...

Is their room for Yasmine there?

Oh please don't let her light go out in a dreary institution!

If she can't be your own sweet child please share her with your friends...

And pray that this sweet sunshine finds a happy home at last!

*****

You can read more about any of these waiting children by clicking on their names in this post!

If you would like to learn more about the adoption process, please click HERE!

Even if you are not in a position to adopt...

Could you choose one child to put on your prayer list?

God knows who their families are...

And he can help them find them!

*****

Emmitt's Birthday post is coming soon...

Stay tuned...

These two caught my eye...

Two little boys...

Colin and Jordan

You'd hardly notice them as you scroll down the pages at Reece's Rainbow...

There are SO many children there!

All so deserving...

All in great need of loving families...

All needing a voice to shout for them...

To share the story of their plight in hopes that someone sees them...

And chooses to go to the other side of the world to save them!

Some children catch the eye right away!

Perhaps it's a darling baby...

Adam - who could resist his sweetness?

Perhaps it is their smile...

Perhaps it's their extra desperate need...

Perhaps it's the alarming difference in their "before" and "after" pictures...

Whatever it is that catches your eye...

And leads you to shout for them...

Thank you!

Please don't stop!

They NEED your voice!

Today I want to draw your attention to two little boys that caught my eye somewhere along the way...

Colin and Jordan

They need a voice too...

I fear they are often forgotten...

Often passed by and unnoticed :(

Here's Colin

How can Colin smile when he can see no hope?

How can he even imagine that life could ever change to something good for him?

He sits in his bed day after day...

In a room full of children's beds...

With not much to do...

Not much to live for or hope for...

How can he smile in those circumstances?

Does he know that most little boys get to ride bikes...

Play ball...

Fly kites..

Go to school...

Have a dog...

And best of all...

Know the security of their family's love?

And then there's Jordan...

He has a little smile...

and a spark of mischief in his eye...

He could have such a wonderful time if he had the opportunity to do what little boys like to do!

Play with toy cars...

Play hide and go seek...

Run and jump and pretend they are flying!

And yet always know that Mama will make sure they get their supper...

And Daddy will keep them safe!

That they will always be loved and protected!

Instead of these things Jordan is probably confined to a bed, chair, or playpen...

He looks like he probably doesn't get enough to eat...

He never gets enough love or attention :(

Two little boys that caught my heart...

Colin and Jordan

So I'm sharing them with you!

Jenny at Zero the Zero's blog set a lofty goal to get the kids at Reece's Rainbow who are aged 6 or older to $100 in their grant funds by October 31...

Colin and Jordan are just 2 of the many kids on her list!

Colin and Jordan

I'm shouting for them today!

Colin currently has $30 in his fund...

Jordan has $53...

They need some help to get to $100...

And most of all they need families!

There are many ways to help...

Prayers...

Sharing their need on Facbook, Blogs, Twitter...

Donations large or small...

Or adoption...

They need a chance to live and play....

Learn and grow...

And most of all know the forever love of a family!

Colin and Jordan

Can you help in at least one way today?

Prayers and Shares are free!

And if you donate to either of their grant funds...

Jenny will enter you into her Toy Giveaway!

And let her know you donated!

For information on how to adopt click the link below:

P.S. - The other children listed in this post need families too!

They are all precious and important...

Please pray and help them in whatever way you can!

You can read more about any of the children in this post on their Reece's Rainbow profile by clicking on their names under their pictures.
