Waiting - Teamwork Tuesday - Angelina

Baby Angelina!

Isn't she cute?

Ready to snuggle with Mommy...

Only she doesn't have one!

She's been waiting...

And waiting...

And WAITING some more!

And now she's already FOUR!

How long must a little girl wait?

How long must she wait for a Mama to call her her very own?

How long must she wait for a ride on her very own Daddy's shoulders?

How long must she wait for the heart surgery she needs to help her stay healthy and strong?

Why surely if her Mama could see her sweet face...

And Papa could know of her plight...

Then surely, oh surely they'd hurry...

And run...

And fly...

And whatever it takes...

To rescue their sweet little girl!

So she'd not have to wait any longer...

To receive the love that she needs!

*****

Oh please tell my Mama and Papa...

I need them so very much!

Show them my picture and tell them I'm waiting...

And ask them to come very soon!

Here is another picture of me!

I hope that my Mama will like it...

And Papa will know I am his...

Just as soon as he sees my face!

So please share me wherever you can...

"Cause you never know who they might be!

Oh...

And in case it might even be you...

Let me share this helpful link!

You can read it and learn more about how to adopt me!

(I'm available to single mama's too!)

You can also visit my prayer warrior's blog here...

She's linking up some posts about me today...

And praying you find me soon!

Time to Focus!

Though I've blogged about many children...

There are two that have had a special place in my heart for a long time...

These beautiful children have been waiting for a family for so long!

Emmitt is 14 and has spina bifida...

And  Victoria  is 9 and has arthrogryposis (stiff joints in her legs)...

Their childhood is passing by with no Mom or Dad...

No chance to go to school...

They spend most of their time in bed because they can't walk...

It's just not fair!

If they had a family they could go to school...

They could get therapy...

Victoria might even be able to get her legs straightened so she could learn to walk...

And  Emmitt could learn to get around well in a wheelchair...

But now they wait in mental instutions...

It's sad that their physical limitations should land them there!

But they live in a place where there is no accommodation for disabilities in society...

The disabled are shut away and forgotten...

If they are not adopted they will have to be in such places for life...

A lifetime in bed...

It does NOT have to be this way!

They CAN be adopted...

They CAN have a life and love and some independence some day...

If families can be found for them!

*****

Emmitt's case is especially urgent...

Because he now has less than 18 months to find a family...

(When he turns 16 he will no longer be eligible for adoption.)

I've decided to change my blog header to focus especially on him!

While I'll continue to blog for other children too...

I plan to include  Emmitt's picture at the end of each post till he finds a family...

(Or ages out - Oh please don't let that happen!)

It's time to focus on  Emmitt!

He's worth it!

And I'll sneak  Victoria  in from time to time...

(Update - I've decided to include her at the bottom of each post too - 'cause she's my special girl!)

She's worth it too!

I'd so love to see both of these precious children home safely with their own forever families!

I'd be so grateful if you would pray for them and share their need with others!

To read more about Emmitt or Victoria or to donate to their adoption grant funds click on their names!

I've also put a donation box for  Emmitt  and  Victoria  on my sidebar (top right hand side) to make donations easy - and so I can keep an eye on how there grant's are doing!

You can learn more about adoption by clicking HERE!

Note: They are not brother and sister and do not have to be adopted together though it would be great if they could be!  I'm not sure how close their institutions are to each other so adoption together may or may not be possible.

***** Update*****

I couldn't do it!  I couldn't leave my girl out...

You'll notice that Victoria is now included in the header too!

18 months to save Emmitt!

Precious Emmitt...

Today is his "1/2" birthday!

Remember when you were a child how important that "1/2" was?

6 1/2 years old was SOOO much bigger than just being 6!

And nobody better forget it when saying how old you were!

Well at 14 1/2 Emmitt may technically be too old to celebrate "1/2" birthdays...

But in his case we need to notice...

Because his time is running out...

He can't afford for us to wait for his "real" birthday to shout for him!

He has only 18 months till he turns 16...

A birthday most boys look forward to and think will NEVER come...

Because they can't wait to drive the car all by themselves!

But with Emmitt, his 16th birthday is a day to be dreaded...

A day when his fate is sealed...

A day when his life sentence to a mental institution is confirmed and finalized...

His hope of escape will be gone...

Forever and FOREVER in bed...

No education...

No Mom and Dad...

No brothers and sisters...

No looking forward to marriage and a family of his own someday...

No job...

No hobbies...

Nothing to do...

Emmitt has already been living in an institution for years...

Many boring days have already been spent in bed...

But at this time there is still a small hope of escape!

If only he can be adopted by his 16th birthday...

He can be free!

He can have a life outside the institution...

And a family to call his own...

Mom, Dad, brothers, sisters...

Education...

The opportunity to learn...

To enjoy a hobby...

To have a job...

To receive therapy to maximize his physical abilities...

If only he can have that chance!

The thing is, Emmitt cannot shout for himself...

He cannot blog, twitter or shout on facebook...

He cannot speak on the radio or TV...

He can't call every name in the phonebook...

Or put his name and picture in the newspaper...

He is isolated in an institution...

With no chance to speak for himself!

He needs us to shout for him...

To spread the word of his great need...

To find his family for him before it is too late!

The clock is ticking...

The months (and years) are passing by...

Emmitt has just 18 months of hope...

Please help me shout for him!

He MUST be saved!

His life matters...

Please share!

His family MUST be out there somewhere!

You can read more posts about Emmitt at the blogs below!

A couple of families met Emmitt some time ago and begged for someone to save him!  You can read what one of them said about his sweet personality in his profile HERE!

And if there is even a remote possibility that he could be your son...

Please read about how to adopt HERE!

Reece's Rainbow has a grant fund set up for Emmitt to help with his adoption costs.
Donations may be made to his fund by following this link and they are even tax deductible in the US!

Currently he has $1705.50 in his fund...
If we can get him to $2500 he will be listed on the page of children with large grants which gives him more visibility with families looking for their child!

Prayers and shares are important ways nearly everyone can help!

Special Gift - Ivan Pictures!

What can be more special than pictures of your children...

Especially when they are far away?

Sometimes adoptive parents only have the privilege of having one picture of their chosen child...

One picture to cling to...

One picture to hold in their heart till the day they can cross the ocean and see their child face to face!

Oh what a joy it is for them to receive new pictures if they come!

Well there is ONE special Mama out there...

(Though she may not know it yet!)

Who can have not just one...

But NINE pictures of her precious son!

Who might that son be?

Dear precious Ivan!

What a treasure!

A precious gift!

Nine precious pictures of one precious boy!

Now if we could just find his Mama!

She's missing her special gift!

And he's waiting for the best gift of all...

His very OWN Mama!

While we're waiting for his Mama...

Would you like to take a peak at her special gift package?

Here it is!

Waiting for Mama!

In the baby walker...

(My favorites!)

Sleepy boy's needs his Mama!

Can you imagine this precious boy lying down in bed for the rest of his life?

What a terrible fate!

But it's likely to be his future if he is not adopted...

Bedridden in a mental institution...

A life sentence that can be AVERTED if his Mama finds him!

Hurry Mama!

I'm waiting for your!

You are my only hope!

I am more precious than these pictures!

Please share my pictures with my Mama so she knows I'm here!

Share them everywhere cause you never know who she might be!

Long-Lost Treasure!

Life is a gift...

Whether large...

Or Small

But some are more special...

We call them our pets!

But no matter how special these special one's are...

The people God's made are most special of all!

But why does it happen that some are left out?

They ALL should be special...

'Cause God made them so!

This special one's Heather...

But she's been left out!

For TEN years she's waited...

To be somebody's child...

Waited to be treasured as the treasure she is!

Oh where is her Mama?

She's sure missing out...

'Cause Heather's her treasure...

But she's lost far away...

Waiting for her Mama to find her and say...

Smile my sweet Heather...

No more need to be sad!

'Cause now your my treasure...

And with me you'll stay!

Forever my daughter, the light of my life!

No more to be lost or lonely again!

Yes, YES you are special...

Left out no more!

You are my...

Is Heather your long lost treasure?

Have you found her at last?

If so, hurry!

She's waiting for you!

Ivan - Unlock his potential!

Cute little guy...

With the sad little eyes...

Oh how he needs a Mama!

Mama's and Papa's and love and exercises can make such a huge, HUGE difference!

Want to see?

Renee's daughter has a very similar condition to Ivan...

In her post Renee compares her daughter's pictures with Ivan's...

They look so similar!

Her daughter has made astounding progress...

While Ivan waits unchanged...

He needs love and hope...

He needs some stretches too...

He has SOOO much potential...

If someone will give him a chance!

Here's another picture of him.

Super cute!

Don't you think?

And here is a second post about Renee's darling daughter...

I'd love to see Ivan doing these things...

Wouldn't you?

Please pray for Ivan and share his story to help his family find him!

To read Ivan's Reece's Rainbow profile or donate to his adoption grant fund click here!

In case you haven't done so yet do check out Renee's blog!

The beautiful story and picture's of her daughter's amazing progress will touch your heart!

Here are her 2 posts I mentioned above!

Post 1 (Including comparison with Ivan and a great story!)

Post 2  (Renee's daughter is referred to as "Moxie" in this post - and she has an amazing accomplishment to show you!)

(Note The money for Renee's next adoption has now been raised.  She and her family are now in country to adopt 3 more special children!)

Precious Ivan!

While we cannot predict his potential with absolute certainty (every child is different!)...

He will surely not reach his full potential without the love and encouragement of a family!

He will be transferred to an institution where he will likely be bedridden for life...

A boring, miserable life :(

Oh he needs a chance!

He may just surprise the world and amaze doctors like Renee's darling daughter...

If he only has the opportunity!

Is  Ivan  your son?

If not...

Share, Share, SHARE!

His Mama and Papa have to be out there somewhere!
